Hakata Toumyou Lantern Arts Festival

This year was the tenth anniversary of this event. It’s a favourite of ours, even though this year was only the third time we went out to see it. We hope these pictures suggest the pleasure of Toumyou Watching in 2002 and 2003. This year was a bit too wet for pictures…

Real Life Comic: Food (2)

Our monthly cartoon series continues its food theme. The dining pleasures of ‘V-city’ include dishes from China, from India, Italy, Greece, and any number of other places – even Japan. Now, back in Fukuoka, what do we miss the most? It has a lot to do with lamb, and dumplings.

November 2004 Playlist

A new section in the fall of 2004. The playlist describes what’s been on the stereo this past month, and tells you why you should love these records, too. Usually they’ll be CDs, so you can rush out and buy them yourself.

Photography: Exhibit One
Ricohflex VIIs
