Cats, these days-2

It may be unfair to talk about only boss Hana and Kyoku.

Recently, our garden cat Shiro uses a new technique for getting her meals. I actually haven’t seen it… Because it happens at C’s study only.

When I’m in the kitchen, she sits down by the window and asks charmingly for a meal. And as soon as she notices I’m out with a cup of food, she rushes to the shed roof. (This is her dining room.) She used to hiss at me when I stretched out my hand to the bowl but she waits for it calmly now. Although she still has a ‘Go away!’ atmosphere.

Her new technique is to jump up to the study window – whatever C is doing, such as reading a book, or working. She doesn’t know that C can’t feed her when he is teaching English conversation to a student. She just jumps following her appetite. The life of a half-stray cat is tough.

Also, the lone cat ‘Maru’ who showed up in our older home page hasn’t been around these past few months. Did he lose a fight with Hana and change his territory? We don’t want to imagine, but did he meet with some kind of accident?

We don’t mean we disliked you! Where are you now?
