Our gloom

Yes, cats are mostly cute.
But they are not only that. They also cause a vicious circle.

1. Feed a cute cat.

2. He leaves food in the bowl.

3. Stray cats, crows, slugs, ants, and so on, that we don’t want, come for it.

4. There are some females among the cats.

5. Male cats get attracted to the female cats. (Noisy.)

6. Male cats fight for their territory. (Noisy.)

7. Male and female cats discharge after eating. Not only in our yard, they do it in the neighbour’s garden. (Stinky.)

8. Then, cute kittens a few months old show up from somewhere looking for leftover food.
(We haven’t seen them since Kuro and Icchan arrived. But we feel it’s going to happen soon.)

Return to 1. (We guess.)

This is an outline of the story.
One might say that we should have done some treatment before, or that it’s a very natural thing to happen; however, for various reasons, we haven’t been able to do anything about it.

Boss cat Ryo often comes to our yard for food and girls. His current aim is Icchan and Komoku. We think these two are aunt and niece, and they seem to get along with each other in our front yard. We actually want Ryo to bring them to his house and look after them there. But it never happens.

By the way, our main garden cat, Kuro, can’t win against Ryo, so he is quiet. We think he sometimes get cowed by the boss. Today Ryo was lying down in the box we prepared for Kuro’s bed. How cheeky. Hey you! It’s not for older guys!

Really our troubles never stop.
I apologize for too many cat-related stories here, because we don’t have any big events.
