We figured out where they were!

As I mentioned before, I felt both relieved and disappointed when the kittens suddenly disappeared a few days ago.

Yesterday I heard that the rainy season had finally arrived in northern Kyushu, and it was raining, too.
And Chris found where they were!

We guessed our house had too much human atmosphere (noise) for them, and it seems they moved into the empty house we can see from Chris’ study. The four kittens were playing in the bush in front of the house. And they sometimes came out to eat stew in a tray that the boss cat’s lady owner left in the parking for stray cats.

I was out and didn’t see it myself, but they started moving after the rain became stronger in the afternoon. Komoku made the four kittens move into the box (originally for Kuro) next to our washing machine, like a parade of ducklings. They have been staying around there since then, with the kittens coming and going between the underside of the shed and the box. They will probably change their location depending on food and weather, between the empty house and our house and Ryo’s house (he who might be their father).

Today, I glanced out the washbasin window, and saw Ryo eating all the leftover dry food in the bowl. And there was Mohi beside him. As we can see, the only adult cats who aren’t afraid of the kittens are aunty Moku, mom Komoku, and Ryo. (Kuro and Icchan seem scared of them.) That’s why we strongly suspect Ryo must be their father.
