Days of not enough sleep

When we say we don’t get enough sleep these days, people might think it’s because of the World Cup.

No, it is clearly Kuro’s fault – the cat that has been staying over at our house for the past five days.
Kuro’s attack usually starts at around three in the morning. He rams my neck with his head while miaowing loudly. And licks my face. He may feel that his high collar is uncomfortable, and he shakes his head violently. He sometimes does it by my back. He seems to like long hair. He shakes his head so he gets tangled up in my hair, which is painful. He pushes and pushes then occupies my pillow. It seems he loves to attach himself to others very much. Of course Chris also gets it. When I somehow take back my sleeping space, I start to hear the sounds of the morning newspaper delivery motorbikes. By the time I fall into a doze, it’s six o’clock and time to get up, and it’s like this every day.

Sometimes, he goes to the litter box while miaowing an announcement. He doesn’t have the idea to hide his business by burying it in litter, so we must clean it up soon, otherwise it stinks very much.

Sometimes, he challenges usually-quiet Kyoku. And Kyoku also faces down the invader, because he would be made light of if he kept being nice to him.

We have been going through these situations for some days.
It will be nine days until we can remove Kuro’s collar. Even when we remove it, it will take some more weeks before his injury completely heals. We should watch him, to make sure he doesn’t lick his injury and make it worse. But, to tell the truth, we are looking forward to having a peaceful time of two humans and a cat again after we let Kuro go out. We are sleepy!
