Poverty is caused by cats - 2
July 3rd. Kyokus runny nose has become very much worse, even though we tried to ease his symptoms by feeding him a supplement. We guessed if we let his runny nose go, he would lick under his nose and it would get sore. His face looks like a tanuki. Every time he shakes his head, we get sprinkled by his snot. We had been thinking we wanted him to recover if it was possible. However, there is no animal clinic close to our house so we put off taking him to the vet. But finally we decided! I called the vet who had looked at Kuro.

After the examination, the vet said he had a secondary infection of feline chlamydia. It sounded like it wasnt as terrible as we had feared. Phew.
However, Kyoku has had trouble in his mouth since he was born. He has a hole in the roof of the mouth. We thought his runny nose was caused by a cat cold, but it seems the hole makes his sneezing and snivelling symptoms worse. In short, the food he eats gets into his nose through the hole, and it makes an inflammation. The vet said theres no way for it to recover except by surgery.
Actually, we had heard that Kyoku had a hole in his mouth, from the person who rescued Kyoku as a kitten before he came into our house. But the vet who we took Kyoku to when we got him fixed said he would have a runny nose forever, and thered be no difference even if he got a vaccination. So we believed he was just talking about Kyokus sneezing. Silly us. We gave Kyoku tough time.
Then, though it is too late, we had him get his shots. We should have decided to do it before. We hope to get him the surgery too within this year.
Anyway, the next surgery is Kuros, on the 14th.
Thus our poverty has been getting worse.
