The 44th Nishinippon Ohori Fireworks Festival
At just about 8:00 p.m., we and our friends went to the field near Ohori Park. We watched the fireworks from beside Fukuoka City Art Museum until last year, but we tried a different location this year. (Of course, we can watch the set fireworks inside Ohori Park, but there are too many people there, so its impossible to eat and drink and watch over there. I never tired to be inside the park, so its my guess that wed have a hard time moving from one spot.)
Fireworks, beer, tasty food (our friends bought it from the grocery floor of a department store). There were no trees in our way, compared to past years. We could see the rockets from three points and we could even see part of the set fireworks between the trees! Wonderful! Good job!

My only disappointment was that we saw many idiot people leaving their garbage after the event. How come they could leave it so naturally? Do they think someone will clean it someday?
The topic might skip a little, but it reminded me of a newspaper article I read some days ago. It said someone said on a radio call-in show that because she pays her kids school meal fee, the kid doesnt need to say itadakimasu before eating. (A direct translation of the word is I am going to eat. This is a nice custom in Japan for giving thanks to the earth and farmers.) Then, many people agreed with this opinion.
I worry about kids in the future, who are brought up by these parents. (Dont say that a person who has no experience of bringing up kids cant talk big.)
After that, we went to the Scottish bar for the first time in a while, and went back home in a good mood.
But, it seems our three cats we left alone at home had a party in our living room. (Although we guess this mess was made by Kuro and Hachitaro.) They probably played soccer using a plastic bag of litter and pee I left by their litter box as a ball. The bag got ripped and the litter was scattered all over the living room floor. Ooo. They are devil brothers!
Please see more about our cats in the categories Cats and Hachitaro news.
By the way, Chris said that this time Im up to one hundred entries for this weblog. (Which means, the total of Japanese and English both has become two hundred!)
