Three cats’ current feeding style

Kuro has been throwing up sometimes since the end of August.
But otherwise he was fine, and had a good appetite, so we started to feed special food to Kuro and have been watching how he has been.
The special food for Kuro is a recipe for greedy cats that Chris found on a web page. It’s a mixture of shredded boiled chicken breast, or chicken white meat, and mashed potato. Of course there is no seasoning in it.
We also feed him the soup left after boiling the chicken and potato, and it is unexpectedly popular with Kyoku and Hachitaro. (But we feed them the packaged wet food we have been feeding them for a long time. Even so they come to lick Kuro’s bowl after he finishes his meal.) We tasted the soup, and it has a nice flavour from the basic ingredients, and is not so bad without salt and pepper.
Since Kuro started to eat his special food, his poo became less stinky. Why does each cat’s poo smell different even though they eat the same food?

Our three cats’ current meal
Kuro:
His special food and soup + dry food (hairball light, chicken)
Hachitaro:
packaged wet food + dry food for kittens under 12 months.
Kyoku:
packaged wet food + mixed dry food

Yesterday, Kuro threw up again. I quickly checked what he had thrown up, and it was nothing but a wad of tissue paper. Actually, Kuro ate and threw up a bit of raffia (this is a natural material for wrapping) earlier this month. Kuro seems to be hungry all the time. But if we give him too much, he just throws up everything he ate without digesting it.
You are not a stray cat any more. Please don’t eat until you throw up!
