Flower viewing party with friends
Its that time of year again: time for the usual flower viewing party!
Afterward we heard that it snowed in Tokyo, and there was a twister in Tottori.
The wind was strong, and sometimes there was a bit of rain. Would we be able to eat our box lunch without the wind making trouble? Would the full bloom of the cherry flowers be gone already? Anyway, we decided to go to our usual spot.
Oh!
The flowers were still blooming, more than in our neighbourhood park. It was great!
We thought we might have to eat our lunch in a storm of falling petals. But it was strangely calm there.
We set up a green sheet on the ground and had a beautiful three-box lunch. Everyone else drank a can of beer, and I drank sparkling water. (I felt a little sad though.)
Sometimes dark clouds passed over the sky, but the strong wind blew them away, and the blue sky came back soon.
Everyone (but me) drank two kinds of plum wine that we made. One was two years old and 40-proof, and the other was one year old and 25-proof.

Cherry flowers really suit the castle wall. The young leaves of the Japanese maple are also beautiful. Cherry blossom viewing culture in Japan is great.

We really thought so, and then we kept on eating and drinking until the night ..
