Hachitaro has what we call ‘Goo Goo Time’ twice a day.

We think Hachitaro isn’t the kind of cat who is really drawn to us. Kuro, his half brother (from the same mother), almost always purrs and draws near to us. Kyoku, who also may be his half brother (same father?), doesn’t come to us except when he’s cold and the other two are not around him.

However, Hachitaro has a few minutes twice a day when he comes close to us and purrs loudly and wants to jump on Chris’ back. We have been together in this house for ten and a half months, and we still don’t understand it. What is Hachitaro’s rule?

By the way, the day we rescued injured Kuro and brought him inside our house was about one year ago. Kuro, you gained almost three pounds in that time, didn’t you?
