Hachitaro News, 31 May to 30 June 2007

I realized that June was almost over.
Which means, congratulations are in order for Hachitaro, who became one year old!

He started to live in our house on July 16th last year, and his weight was 312 g (0.7 pounds). He fit in the palm of our hands. His eyes weren’t open yet, and his walking wasn’t steady. At the time, the vet said to us he was three weeks old, so we secretly decided his birthday was the same day in June as one of our friends. (She still doesn’t know, though.)

Hachitaro has now become between 4.3 and 4.4 kg (9.7 pounds). That’s fourteen times his weight when he first arrived.
Because he has long legs, we guess he will be the biggest among the three cats.
Currently, Kuro is 5.1 kg, and Kyoku is 4.1 kg. (Hachitaro has a few more months before his next shots, but we have to bring the other two to the animal clinic soon.)
