It wasn’t raining today

We took Kyoku to the vet to get his shot.
They say cats have to get vaccinated twice a year in their first year, and then once a year after that.
The shot is a blend of vaccines that can protect against five kinds of infectious diseases at once, so it’s pretty expensive for us. But if the cats got those diseases, it would probably cost more, so we take them to the animal clinic. In many cases the prices at the vet are higher than they are for people at the hospital!

Kyoku’s right ear seemed to be itchy, and he scratched it a lot. Did he have ear mites?
We asked the vet to look at his ear after the shot, and he found flea eggs. He put some stuff in Kyoku’s ears. And he gave us something for fleas and ticks to put on his neck in two weeks.

As a result, the bill became higher than we thought. Paying by cash makes it more painful for us! Aah! But we can’t let Kyoku’s bad condition go on.

Actually, we have to bring Kuro to the animal clinic, because last year he got his shot one day before Kyoku. But we can’t drive, and don’t have a car, and we have only one carry basket, so we can only take a cat a day. (Of course we could go there twice in one day. But we’d have to push ourselves very hard for that.) The rainy season isn’t over yet, so we think we will take Kuro to the animal clinic the next day there is no rain, when Chris has a break in his work.

The following chart is an age comparison of cats and dogs to humans: it was ‘help yourself’ stuff at the vet’s, so I took one.
It suggests Kyoku is about 34 years old?
