Winter pleasures
I dont like cold weather.
But the vegetables we only see in winter are pleasant.
The veggies (potatoes) I bought this time were Awakening of Inca (which we ate last winter, too), and Northern Purple, which we tried for the first time.
They were both from Hokkaido.
The day I bought them, I boiled them with May Queen and sweet potatoes that we already had, then pan fried the lot with olive oil and sliced garlic.
Four kinds of potato are all differently tasty! (I didnt take a photograph of it.)
In order of how easy it is for them to loose their shape, they are: (a) sweet potato, (b) Northern Purple, (c) May Queen, and (d) Awakening of Inca.
In order of sweetness, they are: (a) sweet potato, (b) Awakening of Inca, and (c) May Queen & Northern Purple (tied).
But, anyway, this comparison doesnt have a special meaning!

When I peeled Northern Purple, the colour was paler than I expected.
But it was a little unusual, so I felt happy.
I also found Red Moon at the shop, but it had less impact than the others, so I didnt buy it.
(The skin is reddish and the inside is a cream-coloured.)
And I like winter spinach, too!
