Monster jasmine
Its Golden Week in Japan, but our days are almost the same as usual.
The Naniwa rose is almost finished blooming and is dropping its petals; beside it, the jasmine (Jasminum polyanthum) has been blooming and has a powerful smell. Weve had nice warm sunny days so it is in full bloom.
We bought a small jasmine in a pot six or seven years ago and put it next to the south side entrance (shady) for a couple of years. But the location may not have suited it, so I replanted it in the small patch of earth on the east side of our house. Then it grew nicely. I guess it has been growing too powerfully compared to the passiflora we planted there before, which has mostly disappeared.
The jasmine pushed next door, too. Its not nice for them! We must trim it after it finishes blooming!

We could have guessed it, but the fragrance is very strong.
Its cut flowers became like a house perfume inside the house.
After the blooming finishes, we guess the dried petals will not be nice looking.
By the way, the other flowers became shabby but they are doing all right on our scale.
Now, the dianthus, snapdragon (Antirrhimum majus), and forget-me-not (Mysotis sylvatica) are blooming.
I planted the bulbs of another flower in the back yard some years ago; I dont know its name, but its beautiful.
